The duo are excited to release their fourth single ‘When We Fall’ recorded and mixed at Chamber Studios (Edinbugh) with producer Niall Sinclair, mastered by Lucius Lowe.
Built around themes of emotional cycles, suppression, and repetition, ‘When We Fall’ explores the tension between confronting difficult truths and burying them beneath surface-level reassurance. The track’s recurring refrain, “When we fall it’s over and over, never is never enough” mirrors the looping patterns of thoughts and behaviours that define strained relationships and internal conflicts.
The accompanying music video draws direct inspiration from the Khalid Abdalla play Nowhere, particularly its use of photography and fragmented memories to construct narrative. Blurring the line between past and present. Through a collage of photographs, from child-hood to present-day and featuring live performance shots and studio moments, the video builds a layered visual memoryscape. Snippets of text drawn from the lyrics appear as fleeting “word-images”, echoing the way thoughts surface and dissolve. Abstract photography further disrupts any linear storyline, reinforcing the song’s themes of repetition and emotional disorientation.
